Albion Aspirations is our half term provision for secondary school pupils 13+.

It will be running for 12 days across all the half terms (Oct 24, Feb 25, April 25, May 25 and Summer 25).

Pupils will do a range of activities and it will also include, completing FA Playmakers coaching qualification, a matchday event and an end of programme celebration trip in summer 2025.

The first one in October includes tickets to the open training event at the Hawthorns, where there is an opportunity to meet and greet the players.

Word Lounge Theatre Company is a youth theatre for children in care or who are care experienced, young carers and young people with additional educational needs aged 13 - 17, who are passionate about theatre and performance.  

Women & Theatre will deliver a programme of weekly sessions over 10 weeks at Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), working with up to 20 young people. This term young people will have the chance to develop their performance skills in acting, music and poetry. Working with specialist artists in each area, young people will create new pieces to perform in a showcase at the end of the 10 weeks. The themes and ideas for the showcase are entirely led by the young people so we won't know what we're making until we get together!

The showcase will be presented in the Foyle Room at MAC to an audience of family, friends and members of the general public. The project will be led by the young people, allowing them to express their ideas and opinions to diverse audiences.

Creative activity will include devising scripts, creating characters, writing poetry, writing songs, singing and recording music. The young people will learn different performance skills and explore different roles as part of the creative process.
