Dear kinship carers,

We’re just sending you a quick update and to let you know that the national charity, Kinship, is running a free Roadshow for kinship carers who can travel to Birmingham on Monday 7^th October 2024, at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham. B2 4JQ.

Places are free but are on a first come, first served basis. We have attached a flyer with more information, and if you would like to find out more you can visit their website and book your place directly. You’ll also have a free lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

The day will include the opportunity to meet other kinship carers as well as workshops on:

• Trauma and attachment
• Managing contact
• Supporting your kinship child at school

BookTrust will be there and you’ll be able to take home free books for your kinship children.

You’ll also be able to talk to other organisations like Young Minds, The Mighty Creatives and Kidscape, who can help you in your role as a kinship carer.

Don’t worry if you can’t attend this one, there will be more free workshops and opportunities coming from Kinship which we will send to you.
